Sakuradamon-gai no hen - Trailer

The samurai film Sakuradamon-gai no Hen is coming from director Junya Sato, with an October 16, 2010 premiere planned in Japan. Based on the novel of the same name by Akira Yoshimura, the movie retells the story of the Sakuradamon incident in 1860, in which the Chief Minister Ii Naosuke was assassinated at the gate of Edo Castle. Takao Osawa has been cast as Seki Tetsunosuke, a samurai of the Mito domain who led the assassination. (Tokyograph synopsis)
